Story

It is very easy to get distracted while you are playing this game but since I have played the game a couple of times over the years, I realised how good the story is and engaging too. It isn’t a particularly long game but it is still engaging and leads onto the second instalment very well.

Abilities

Through the multiple abilities you have it allows you to play however you want but they are also not required which give the player the option to go without them. Some of these abilities focus more around movement which allows you to pull off cool combinations without alerting the enemy but some are pure chaos as sometimes you just want to have some fun.

The World

Although the levels aren’t in an open world, they do have the ability to be explored and completed in multiple different ways which allows the player to feel like they have control. With that through your actions the world changes which makes you feel like your actions have an effect on the world around you which definitely makes it feel more lived in and realistic.

Visual

Through the artwork you feel disgusted of what is around you and that the “noble” people have allowed this to happen which makes the chaos you’re causing quite enjoyable. Even though it’s disgusting it is also quite beautiful and I like how they kept this art style in the next instalment.

Difficulty

As the game tracks how many times the enemy notice you, one of the greatest challenges is to try and complete all the missions without being notices. It is quite annoying achievement but it is enjoyable too and something to try once you’ve completed it.
