Why FIFA/EAFC doesn't interest me anymore

Maybe it’s as simple as I’m just bored of playing the same game every year with the same problems which never seem to be addressed properly. I began playing with FIFA 13 and since then I have pre-order every year since and it has been the main game which I play throughout the year up until this year when I stopped playing in January and havnt touched it since.

When I initially started playing, I would put money in to buy FIFA points as I used to enjoy opening packs at the start of the year and getting that boost but over the last 3 years, I have decided against that and instead chose to earn them through playing the game which is a more fun and engaging way of playing the game. However, that is fine when you have the time to put into the game but know I don’t have that sort of time and would much rather have fun when I play rather than spend it grinding towards players when ill be back to where I started in a year.

Player base

This is where another problem comes in because you can try and have fun while playing the different modes but you normally come up against a player who tries their best to suck the fun out of the game. This is because there arnt many modes where you can relax and have some fun with the players, there are objectives in most of the modes so when you do manage to get in front in these matches they leave to get into the next game.

Summary

It could be that I have just outgrown it or the developers have sucked the life out of the game trying to cater the competitive players. What I do know is that I don’t miss it and look forward to the other types of games I going to be able to play now.
